Rates

You are entitled to receive this “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for a neurodevelopmental evaluation.  I have 4-5 types of evaluations that I do depending on the needs of the client.

• Brief cognitive or academic evaluation, usually for a school application-$600 for cognitive or academic evaluation, $1100 for both. Short report and interpretation session is included. An Adaptive measure could also be used in place of one of the other tests depending on need.
• Brief updated evaluation for accommodations for college or for college entrance exams. The client typically has a comprehensive evaluation done in the past that is used as baseline for updating the information.  Cognitive and academic testing is done as required with updated diagnosis and recommendations.  –  typical cost $1200
• Comprehensive developmental evaluation – this is the typical evaluation done in this practice – cost $2000-2400 depending on complexity of history –
  • Add-on testing
    • Adaptive Skills Assessment – $200 (needed for some disability waivers)
  • Neuropsychological evaluation – for clients who have a history of head injury or neurological illness/event – $2200-$2600
  • Independent Educational Evaluation – these are approved by the student’s school district and paid for by that district – $2000-$2700

I also do some limited consultation on previous evaluations or for making recommendations on future planning –  $200/hour (which included review of previous records)  An estimate of number of hours needed and the cost will be given before beginning the consultation.

Client telephone calls and consultations with other professionals for less than 10 minutes are without charge.

An estimate of the fees will be given during the initial phone interview. No additional testing will be done without prior consent.

Insurance

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

• Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
• Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
• Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
• Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

Payment

I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
